Hi there, my name is Tasha, and I am an artist, tutor, publisher and curator based in the UK. I am passionate about museums, traditions and heritage, books, nature, psychology and architecture. My main medium is plant fibre, which I use to make paper. You can find my full CV by clicking here.
I have been crafting paper for 14 years using various natural fibres and plants. My eco-friendly products are made using an ancient Japanese method, resulting in truly unique and one-of-a-kind pieces of art. Every sheet is an independent product, but I also make books, postcards, fibre clay bowls and other friendly stuff based on plant fibre. While I also create fine art, my true passion lies in teaching and curating. I love guiding children on their artistic path. For me, art is not about the ability to draw but the ability to deal with abstract tasks and remain flexible in life. That's why I follow each child's unique talents, language and abilities, rather than set up my own direct rules on what and how to draw. Science and people are my two main inspirations. I love to construct, whether it's relationships or beautifully packaged ideas that can turn into games, fashion, books or exhibitions. I am always looking for potential and can turn something ordinary into something extraordinary based on scientific, architectural and mental frameworks.
