I enjoy experimenting with various mediums and exploring the original picture space in my art projects. For me, art is a way to communicate with our inner selves through different languages. Although I use collages and defragmentation to convey abstract expression, I do not view art as a form of therapy. Instead, it reflects my thoughts and emotions. To enhance the mood of my work, I often incorporate 3D elements and allow materials to shape the story.
I do not consider myself a classical artist, but I am a skilled professional who understands and utilizes art as a concept. My forte is working with the space and making it tell a complete story. I curate exhibitions and am keen on creating educational projects. I possess an exceptional passion for antique, classical paintings, and contemporary art. I enjoy combining something quite ancient with something very modern.
In our classes, we explore a wide range of mediums such as pastel, oil paint, watercolour, charcoal, acrylic, pencils, pastel, clay, and different art forms like drawings, paintings, sculpture, linocut, fabric design, stitching, paper crafts, etc.I strongly believe that art is much more than the ability to replicate something. It's about unleashing people's curiosity and developing flexibility. Therefore, I've designed different courses for different age groups to create truly independent projects.
For 5+ y.o.
I offer classes based on trying different art materials and methods, mainly a combination of drawing or painting with craft. The aim is to explore art mediums and understand the idea of reflection on the flat surface. For example, we may paint with clay or play with mirror images on black paper. Each class is a fun exercise with ready work.
For 7+ y.o.
The “History of Art” course is based on art periods and a more in-depth investigation of the art methods. Starting from the Stone Age and up to the present day, we explore how art materials and concepts developed. The main task is to build a strong connection between the idea and the way of its presentation. For example, we may explore ways of painting as impressionists or explore the limited palette of Egyptian art.
For 9+ y.o.
The “Main Artists” course assumes more independent projects with extra knowledge of composition. We study artists and being in their shoes, we create work based on our interests. The main task is to extend the time of working, and do multi-layered pictures with a more robust composition and background. For example, our class task is to create an actual-to-life Mona Lisa or do an artistic book.
For 11+ y.o.
I run art classes with a focus on academic preparation and individual projects. Here, students are strong and motivated enough to understand art not only through colour and shape but also through lines, shades and temperature. We do a lot of sketches, and drawings, and study the human body. At the same time, we do a lot of individual projects or GSSEs tasks.
Please note I have a very individual approach. Age is mentioned here just for general guidance.
For adults aged 18 and above, I offer open-type art classes where we can replicate pictures you like in acrylic or sculpture.
All classes are held in person in small groups of up to four kids. And located in my home studio in Milton Keynes, UK.
